Self Improvement Creators— Stop Fucking Lying To Us

We know you’re not as perfect as you make it seem

The self-help industry has become less about helping people live realistically better lives and more about preaching the prospect of perfect lives.

The brutal truth is this — a lot of creators make self-improvement content simply for money.

They write out of their ass because what comes out is shit.

They certainly don’t write from their heart or brain. They write what sells.

It’s easy to spot such a writer, you only have to see whether his topics, style, tone, and interests have evolved over time.

If a writer keeps preaching perfection over a prolonged period of time, you know he’s talking out of his ass.

If a writer keeps writing about the same topics over and over again, you shouldn't even consider him a writer, he’s just a businessman, or worse — a salesman (not that there’s anything wrong with those professions)

One of my favorite writers on this platform, who also happens to be one of the biggest, puts his “mental illness” of yesteryear into every fucking article that he writes.

Man, why would I want to read literally the same thing spun in different ways over and over…
